A season built on belief. A team built on togetherness. A title earned collectively.
Frenford’s 3rd XI turned a season focused on developing young cricketers into a championship campaign, putting together a remarkable 12-match run without defeat, nine wins, two winning draws and one abandoned fixture. The objective was never simply to chase silverware. It was to build a team where youth and experience could thrive together, where responsibility was shared and where development never took a back seat to results.
At the heart of it stood captain Waqqas Naqvi, whose leadership helped bring that vision to life. At the HEFL Awards Dinner, he proudly received the champions’ trophy from former England fast bowler Devon Malcolm, a fitting moment to recognise a season of hard work, commitment and collective belief.
The captain lifts the cup. The team earns the title. And the achievement belongs to the whole club.
