Taking on the captaincy at the incredibly young age of just 14, Fatima accepted the challenge with courage, maturity and determination beyond her years. Over the past few seasons, she has led by example, guiding the team through both the highs and lows that come with competitive cricket. There have been plenty of smiles, a few tears, and countless memories along the way, but through it all Fatima has remained committed to the team and the club.

Her leadership culminated in a fantastic achievement as she captained the Kestrels to promotion in 2026 – a milestone that will forever be part of the team’s history.

While carrying the responsibility of captaincy, Fatima never allowed her own standards to slip. She continued to lead from the front with the bat and consistently demonstrated the dedication, work ethic and professionalism that make great captains. More importantly, she became a role model for players of all ages, inspiring younger cricketers and earning the respect of her teammates.

Thank you, Fatima, for your leadership, commitment, passion and friendship. Your contribution to Frenford Kestrels has been immense, and the impact you have had on the team will be felt for many years to come.
