SENIOR KESTRELS 1ST XI: CHAMPIONS RECOGNISED. HISTORY CELEBRATED

David Pike

From Frenford to the County Ground, A Season Worthy of Recognition.

The celebrations continued for our Senior Kestrels 1st XI as the team took centre stage at the Essex Womens Premier League Awards Evening, hosted by Essex at the County Ground, to receive recognition for their outstanding achievement as EWPL Division 2 Champions 2026.

Promotion secured. Champions crowned. A season to remember.

The title reflects more than results on a scorecard. Throughout the summer, the Kestrels showcased the talent, determination and collective spirit that have become hallmarks of this group. Exceptional individual performances, match-winning contributions and a genuine team ethos helped turn ambition into achievement.

From Fatima Imtiaz’s extraordinary 204 not out to Georgie Heath’s run-scoring contributions, alongside Krisha Shah’s and Sana Chaudhry’s wicket-taking performances, this was a campaign built on individual quality and collective commitment. Just as important was the team’s outstanding work ethic — players pushing one another, offering support and helping everyone progress together. That unity was at the heart of the Kestrels’ success, proving that promotion and silverware were the rewards of a group pulling in the same direction. And with promotion secured, the rewards extend far beyond the trophy itself.

The awards evening provided a fitting opportunity to recognise the players and celebrate what they have accomplished together. Every player, every contribution and every member of the wider Kestrels family has played a part in this success.

PROMOTED. CHAMPIONS. UNSTOPPABLE.

Congratulations to our Senior Kestrels 1st XI. The achievement is yours, the pride is Frenford’s, and the next chapter awaits.
