At Frenford Cricket Club, we often talk about cricket being more than just a game and this week, two of our Senior Kestrels showed exactly what that means in action.

Diana and Fatima proudly represented the club at a recent women’s community sports event, volunteering their time to help promote cricket and wider participation in sport. Their involvement wasn’t just about attendance, it was about impact.

Engaging with a group of young girls, the pair helped introduce the game in a fun, relaxed and inclusive way. From picking up a bat for the first time to building confidence through simple skills, it was fantastic to see the smiles, energy and enthusiasm on display throughout the session.

In particular, Fatima led from the front, stepping into coaching moments and actively encouraging participation, a brilliant example of how our players are not only developing their own game, but also giving back and inspiring others.
