It was another memorable weekend for Frenford Cricket Club, with two players producing performances that will live long in the memory.
For the senior section, Pratik Bhalerao delivered one of the finest bowling spells of the season. Defending a modest first innings total against Leigh on Sea CC, Pratik led the attack superbly, finishing with outstanding figures of 8 wickets for 29 runs from 12.4 overs, including an incredible 7 maidens. It was a spell built on relentless accuracy, patience and composure under pressure, earning him a return to the FCC 5-Fer Club in some style.
Meanwhile, in the junior ranks, Hamdaan Khan announced himself on the big stage with his maiden Frenford century. Opening the batting against Ekota Academy in the Sir Alastair Cook Cup, Hamdaan compiled a magnificent 101 from just 60 balls, striking 17 fours and 3 sixes. It was an innings full of intent, confidence and quality, securing his place in the FCC #100Club.
From match-winning spells to milestone centuries, weekends like these are a reminder of the strength and depth running throughout Frenford Cricket Club.
Congratulations, Pratik and Hamdaan.
