Honours Board | Armaan & Taseen Shine for Frenford

Honours Board | Armaan & Taseen Shine for Frenford

David Pike6 Jul - 15:20

Another Weekend, More Outstanding Individual Performances earning places on the Frenford Cricket Club Honours Board.

Armaan Qaisar produced one of the standout bowling performances of the season, claiming magnificent figures of 6 wickets for 35 runs, including 3 maidens, away at Chelmsford CC for the 4th XI. With only a modest total to defend against an experienced opposition, Armaan executed Coach Rob's bowling plans to perfection. Displaying maturity beyond his years, he attacked relentlessly, controlled the game superbly and led the bowling effort with composure to secure a memorable victory. A truly match-winning spell and a deserved place in the FCC 5-Fer Club.

The second Honours Board recognition belongs to Taseen Ansari, who etched his name into Frenford history with a rare Matchplay Hundred for our U16s against Oakfield Parkonians. For those who know Taseen, it's no surprise—he simply loves to bat, and the longer the better. But this innings was about far more than runs. As wickets tumbled around him, Taseen showed remarkable patience and composure, anchoring the innings from start to finish. With valuable support from Hussain, Adam and Ibraheem, he steered Frenford to a highly respectable total that ultimately laid the foundation for victory. His unbeaten 116 from 106 balls, featuring 16 fours and 2 sixes, was an innings of exceptional quality, discipline and game awareness. Matchplay centuries are incredibly rare, making this an achievement to savour.

Congratulations to Armaan and Taseen on two outstanding performances. One dismantled the opposition with the ball, the other constructed an innings of immense maturity under pressure. Both are thoroughly deserving additions to this week's FCC Honours Board.
